Judy, I've put both the search boxes in one table, and the results is per:- http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~bristowe/images/freefind-google-sb.png Do you want a white background, or do you want your usual page background to show through? Hi Barry, My background changes for 2 sections. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~florian/ http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~florian/wash-co-pa/o_f2/mcdonald-pa/ So I suppose it'd be best to keep the search boxes white. I was wondering 2 things: How do I get the CSS for the table you did to be wider, so the the Freefind image can be at the side of the word search, and same for the Google image? I'm hoping to decrease the vertical space taken up for this table at the top of every page, leaving so much empty space right/left. With RW banner, my H1, my Nav section, and search table, it's taking up almost to the "newspaper fold" on my 15" monitor. And second, how do I make the 2 lines of text be "even" across the page right across from each other, and with matching size/text (class=small was too big and =smaller had no effect)? I tried using the code Freefind used. But changing their code for my Florian's link made your CSS search box lose the entire google search area.. I did get the no decoration to work on both lines. Off to bed. Judy
Judy, I've reduced the height of the search table by 90px, and the whole thing including the Washington PA heading is enclosed within one div. There is a separate CSS file just for the search boxes. The div just needs to be inserted into the appropriate page(s), the CSS link placed in the head, and your site searches are active. http://countjustonce.com/test/florian-search-boxes-1.html The freefind and Google backgrounds are now links to their owners' sites. I've created a play on Google when when you hover over your Best On-Site Search Tips link! Barry ---------------------
