I believe the hacking they are talking about is the website, not the users computer. Wordpress has security holes which allows someone to take over your site. Now it comes down to what is to gain. What value does someone get from learning that great aunt Helen was born in 1899. Commercial sites are much more likely to get hit. It might be possible to grab people credit card information if the site sells something. Wordpress is primarily designed for blogging sites. Not "websites" such as we normally do. That doesn't mean you can't create a genealogy site but...............................
