By that, I meant you seem to be over-complicating your life as a website designer/tender. In previous posts you fretted about items not validating; these files would seem to create even more validation error opportunities. Now, you apparently want to create a "door" to the folder but lock it. It seems yet more complication. Does it make sense? I believe you have a choice to make. My personal position is that any information I put on the Web is public. I do it recognizing that anything public is subject to misuse but that's simply the risk that goes along with the benefits. If the abuse risk outweighs the benefits, the information doesn't get published. Perhaps Thoreau's advice is relevant: "Simplify, simplify, simplify." -rt_/)
