For your information: There is a free for download at http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm program called IrfanView that when doing a "Save As" for a JPG file you can set a slider to a quality percentage and reduce the byte size of that photo. You are actually degrading the quality of the photo, but I have viewed many of the them side by side with the original on my monitor and at quality between 30 to 40% many of them you can just barely see the difference. I keep a copy at the original resolution and use the degraded quality one with a slightly different file name for the web site and the byte size reduction can be considerable, but it varies for each photo.
