    3. The Rootsweb Hit Counter (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~gearyfamily/adding-counte r.html ) in my website at : <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~coopersofclatt/> http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~coopersofclatt/ has stopped working after Rootsweb reinstated their site following the outage. The link I have used to reset the counter <http://counter.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/changecounter.cgi> http://counter.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/changecounter.cgi also does not work. Rootsweb state in the message below that it's not their responsibility so any suggestions to fix this will be greatly appreciated. The changecounter script has not worked for years. That said, my counter at <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pasher/> appears to still be working. OTOH, your counter at <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/!coopersofclatt/> is not displayed at all which leads me to believe the designated counter name in your counter code is not correct, i.e. "df=HitCounterFT" If you have made a record of the correct name for your counter, change your page code to reflect the correct name. Otherwise, try creating a new counter. The instructions are at <http://rootsweb.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3214/kw/counter/session/L3RpbWUvMTQ1ODI0NjY3Ny9zaWQvSEtuNmxKTG0%3D> While I haven't created a new counter in a while, you used to be able to set the starting number for the new counter. Be sure to make a record of the name you choose for the new counter so that you can add it to any page you choose going forward. Pat A.
