If the counter worked before the outage, and you made no website changes, then the HelpDesk staff doesn't get the difference. If you made no page changes, and it worked before the outage, write back to them and say "Please report this to the sole technician responsible for Rootsweb / Freepages website issues::: The RW counter that worked before the outage stopped working after Rootsweb ran the backups for all web spaces housed under Rootsweb. Nothing was changed to the local or live site by the webmaster." But then, I'd go find a different counter, because RW hasn't fixed lots of stuff. OR, choose what lots of us decided a long time ago:: just stop using any counter on your pages. Freefind or Google Webmaster Tools tells you site and page stats without using an image counter. Judy
Good morning from a sunny France, RW hasn't fixed lots of stuff. Could we know what is now working normally, and what items don't yet - what items may not in the future, if any? Could be useful: no point in aggravating problems by trying to use what's not functional.
