Hi Pat, Thanks for reply It still didnt work! the setting: use passive mode for data connection was checked the force passive connection to use host address to connect was not checked i checked it but that didn;'t work. i clicked the details button to get this from connection log! Cut and pasted the view log below Finding Host users.freepages.rootsweb.com ... Connecting to 66.43.28.143:21 Connected to 66.43.28.143:21 in 0.093600 seconds, Waiting for Server Response Error reading response from server. Connection closed by remote host.
