Hi list, Does anybody have an idea why my counter is not displaying on my index page? The URL is below my signature. Thank you for your help, Heidi Boos-Utley Email: [email protected] URL: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~heidisfamily
Could be that the server that is being used is down. Ancestry has had several machines down for the past week. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of hutley via Sent: Sunday, March 20, 2016 4:15 PM To: freepages-help <[email protected]> Subject: [FreeHelp] Counter is not displaying Hi list, Does anybody have an idea why my counter is not displaying on my index page? Heidi, I entered your counter url and it came up with an internal server error. When doing the same for my site the server provided the image. I suspect you created a new counter later than the current backup date, and I suggest you try creating a new counter. Hi Barry I tried to create a new counter and when I attempted to go to the proper Rootsweb site it gave me the following message: "Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS) Server at counter.rootsweb.com Port 80" Sounds to me that there are still some areas that are down. I have the counter code copied to my computer and used it to replace the one on my index page. It did not work. So creating a new counter does not work either. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you very much, Heidi Email: [email protected] URL: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~heidisfamily ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Barry Carlson via Sent: Sunday, March 20, 2016 20:55 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FreeHelp] Counter is not displaying Heidi, I entered your counter url and it came up with an internal server error. The server is still NOT working. You are going to have to wait until the server comes back on line for the counter to work. There is NOTHING that YOU can do. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of hutley via Sent: Monday, March 21, 2016 6:14 AM To: Barry Carlson <[email protected]>; [email protected] Subject: Re: [FreeHelp] Counter is not displaying Hi Barry I tried to create a new counter and when I attempted to go to the proper Rootsweb site it gave me the following message: "Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
