    3. Oh, I have not doubt that it was something that Microsoft was doing to cause some of those programs to suddenly stop functioning properly, it didn't make sense that so many things were breaking down at the same time on a new computer. At first with FP, I thought it might be my ISP, and I do know that with it being such an older program that something might have been corrupted. I did find forums that said that some ISPs did have problems with FP, but the odd thing was that I couldn't even get Filezilla to work, which I had never used anyway since FP has always connected fine for my ftp uploads, but was prepared to use it to get my files online. So trying the Win 10 upgrade was my last try before I would move to a new website software. I honestly didn't think it would work, and I was afraid I would end up with no workable computer after seeing what a few naysayers had to say about the upgrade, but right now, I am totally satisfied, and it seems that my computer has even gotten faster than it has been in months. If you haven't, you do not "own" the Windows operating system that is on your computer. Microsoft remains the "owner". You simply have a license to use it. I don't know if they would, or say they would, but it is possible that they could send down a "kill" signal that would completely shut down your Windows.I don't know if it's ever happened, or will happen. Just something to think about.
