    1. Re: [FreeHelp] Internet Explorer - End of Support

    3. I'm glad someone resurrected this thread. First it was IE ending. Didn't care--I don't use it. NOW, Chrome is stopping support. I *like* XP. I haven't been on Windows since Win 3.11 -- yes, a very long time ago. I don't have money for a new PC (and I'd need a specific kind of PC that costs $$$ ). I'm babying a very old laptop. Physically speaking, it would take me weeks (not hours or days) to do any massive change to OS. I don't have anyone to help do this and can't hire anyone to do it. I have old programs, especially FP editor. And I appreciate simplicity; "click here to do this". I don't have time (or eyesight) to read a book just to know how to use a new-fangled OS. I'm fast running out of time for the free Windows. How can I do it more easily, physically? like, must I back up all programs and files I have on the PC before I even begin?? What are the risks to just keep using XPPro SP3 ? The only "risky" behavior I do once a year is online banking. Ideas?
