I note that the site assigned already has numerous folders already in place. I tried to delete them but was instructed they could not be deleted due to the fact that files may be included - however no files are visible when you open the folder. The Properties for the folder are coded such that I am not familiar - it has been too long since I have been exposed to the code. Dick Rose dtrose@cox.net

As Pat Geary said, the xxxx_html directories are part of the structure of your account. Through symlinking, each of them represents a separate URL for your account, e.g. freepages.history.rootsweb.andestry.com/~userID/ freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~userID/ freepages.family.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~userID/ You can upload files to any of those xxxx_html directories, and each will be a different and specific URL for specific areas of your research.
