I have yet to upload any gedcoms to world connect having just finished getting my pages up and running at http://freepages.family.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rawlsofdorset/index.htm and previously had them imbedded in my listings, I use PAF (great program, intuitive to use) but do on occasion merge individuals or 'tidy up' the database and thus the RIN may change. It was my intention to upload the databases in groups of families rather than one big database and then simply link to the Rootsweb start page for that group, this would seem to eliminate any problem with links changing when updating. Folks can find the individual via the index on that page, is there any real advantage to linking to individuals within the gedcom?
