    3. Carol, >From your May 22 request, I do not know if you need a search engine for your FreePages web site, or a program to make web pages, or both. As for the search engine, once you have a web site, insert a free search prgram at the beginning of your web site. You can get one here: http://www.picosearch.com/ As for making web pages, and if you are brand new at this, there are three easy ways: Use the one supplied by FreePages, or Use your word processor, such as MS-Word. Word allows you to save in HTM format. But that assumes you have made a word processor type set of info, then saved in HTM format after you save in DOC format. Or Use the one supplied by Ancestry dot Com's web making program. At the top of A dot C's window, there is a Publish tab. Just follow it's instructions. Here is a hint though: Once you make a web page and upload it to Free Pages, then go to Internet Explorer and look at your results on the internet. Often, what you see on your comuter's pages where you built it won't look like the one on the Internet. Those Web page making programs mentioned by Heidi Boos-Utley are a bit harder to learn, but they can give you much more professional web pages, and they cost a few $$s. The one built into A dot C comes with the cost of that subscription; the one supplied by FreePages is free; and the one supplied by MS-Word is part of the cost of that program. Wordperfect also makes web pages, and I am sure other better grade word processors do also. But best results are via the FrontPage, Dream Weaver, Expression Web or Nvu programs.
