Could you give a link to your site? Are you using an on-site Search, such as Google's Webmaster Tools? A browser "reads" what is on a webpage, but a bot must index the page and it's content. The World area and the freepages area are separate entities. I would think you'd at least need to place an index of names on your freepages to get them to show as being on your freepages. A google on-site search box would assist google to 'find' your stuff. It's fairly easy to set up and to insert the code that Google Webmaster Tools gives. You'll also use a "verify" code that is given from Google. I don't have a World Connect GEDCOM but what I'd do is: 1. Generate a names-only index to put on the freepages website. 1b. You could make one (or more) "index" pages per alphabet letter (surnames) on your freepages website. 1c. You could add descriptive pages for some of the people on your freepages, such as stories, photos, extras. Link all the same-name pages to each other. Crosslink as you think appropriate. 1d. (Not sure if this can be done)-- Link some or all of the freepages Index of Names to specific GEDCOM pages for that family/ person. (i.e. crosslink between freepages and the gedcom pages) 2. On every freepages/website page, make sure you have a link to your GEDCOM beginning page. 3. Think of ways to use your freepages to expand some aspects of your family's genealogy, history, location info/history, family, relationships, schooling, life experiences, religious affiliations, clubs/group memberships, etc. etc. For Example, let's say your key family members were founding members of XXX Church. You could expand to include pages about the XXX Church history, how your family supported/influenced/built the church or its goals. 4. On your freepages, use some identifier for you on all web pages. i.e. your name, a way to contact you, etc. Can you use the name of the GedCom on your website, for example? 5. Make sure Google knows where your pages are by using Google On-Site Search. There are other on-site tools, like Pico or Freefind. All are free. 6. Ask for more information about the best use of HEAD tags in your web pages. This is a big subject, but generally, you need to make sure every page has a good TITLE tag, DESCRIPTION tag, and KEYWORDS tag, plus have these match or reflect what is on "each" particular webpage. For examples: If you put a map on a webpage, all 3 tags plus the words on your page should have map as one of the words. Use full names of people when you write content, as an example, instead of saying "May, wife of George Xmith" it helps with Google search to use women's full names, like Mary Yyabb married George Xmith on xxx date. Mary Yyabb Xmith taught in a one room schoolhouse in McKean County State..." Although Google returns search words that are nearby on a webpage, it always helps to put the words together that we really want Google to find.
