    3. Hi Terrie, Looks good to me. I could link from your hyperlink on your Home page to the FG Sheet easily. Best wishes, Jill http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~glamorgan/ -----Original Message----- From: freepages-help-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:freepages-help-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Terrie Jackson Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2011 6:54 PM To: Freepages-Help-L Subject: [FreeHelp] Pats FamilyGroupSheet and FTP Was looking at page posted by a Sheri "aka" FamilyTwigs that had a Family Group Sheet. I email an inguiry to her and she refered me to Pats page here... http://freepages.computers.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pasher/fgs.htm I followed (I thought) making the 2 files as Pat stated in her instuction, which I have attached for viewing the code. I put these files in my MISC community/directory. The files I attached here are .txt files but the ones in my community I changed to tmp files and with a different name. The form file is .tmp (named FGSForm2.tmp and the template file is TMP (named FGSForm2.TMP) in my misc community/directory. In Pats instructions she named both the form and template groupsheet.tmp I think, as just an example. Will it make a difference if one extension is lower alpha and other is caps? Do or should both files be the same name? Does it matter that I have the files in my misc. community/directory rather than my genealogy community/directory? I uploaded using the upload tool inside the rootsweb editor. It didn't appear to me that any coding was changed inside the files as Pat stated could or would happen....well....it seems my Family Group Sheet it not working correctly. >From my genealogy directory....here's my main index.html page which has a link for the family group sheet... http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cranfill/index.html This is the link of the actual group sheet page inside my misc. directory... http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cranfill/FGSForm2.tmp When I test my page this shows and I get no email...attached image is formtest3_mypage.jpg Well....then I tried the FTP within widows (attached sample_FTPwindows.jpg) for the drag-n-drop option which when I drag-n-drop into my misc. directory the file pops upon my screen view but I never see the file in my directory. So then I took same steps in my genealogy directory with the same results. Is anything I'm saying making sense to you smart website people or have I said to much which causes more confusion? Not sure I'm the best at explaining as it intimidates me to a degree. I haven't download an FTP program or ever dealt with FTP in any form. Can someone enlighten me as to how to get this Famly Group Sheet to work or could/should I just direct people to Pat's page and have them input my email address like Pat states in her instruction for test her page out. Thanks so much for all help....hope I even posted this correct in Freepages Help.
