As Barry said, you'll have to add some coding to your pages to call the footer insert. While changing a large site is never easy, a free text editor called Notepad Lite http://www.notetab.com/ will do a find and replace in an entire directory, or even multiple directories. For example, find: <./body> and replace with: <.!--#include file="footer.txt" --><./body> You'll still have to upload all of the revised pages, but it is a quick and easy way to make the same change to multiple files at one time.
