    3. Its not often that I have had much good to say about the IE stable of browsers, but I can recommend IE9. This new version which has finally been released today, is a completely redesigned browser, which is fast, along with providing the latest in CSS3 features and fully implementing CSS2. The lousey JavaScript engine of IE8, has been gutted, then completely rebuilt using machine code, and of course now does the things that IE8 failed badly at. If you have a Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7, then the new browser can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/IE9 The downside is; MS have in their corporate wisdom made the new browser incompatible with Windows XP and earlier. In that sense, the choice was theirs to do, as they still enjoy the lions share when it comes to the number of Operating Systems sold. Barry

XP will have to do me for a while yet, so in a sense, a good marketing ploy by MS but not good for very many people who will keep going with the version they have of MS Office. ;-(( Best wishes, Jill http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~glamorgan/ -----Original Message----- From: freepages-help-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:freepages-help-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Barry Carlson Sent: Tuesday, March 15, 2011 6:20 PM To: FREEPAGES-HELP@rootsweb.com Subject: [FreeHelp] MS Internet Explorer 9 Its not often that I have had much good to say about the IE stable of browsers, but I can recommend IE9.
