I hope it's OK to re-visit this issue. After all, the situation's always changing. I'm looking for a free or low-cost WYSIWYG web editor to download after the motherboard on my main computer got fried and left me with a few weeks of working from my laptop. I'm definitely NOT interested in spending a few undred dollars. I've been looking at Coffee Cup and SeaMonkey, based on Web reviews. But, I'd like to hear from listers here as to their recommendations. Thanks, -rt_/) ----- Original Message -----

It is very simple. I don't remember if it offers "Projects" functionality. Documentation is available, if interested. By the way, I have been looking for one too and am now trying to learn Aptana. It offers HTML functionality but it is more than an HTML editor. HTML is just one part of this huge developer platform. Plugins are available but I have not checked this out. Lorrie

Perhaps what's left of my hair is too gray, but I don't find the WYSIWYG that inspiring. My experiences of WYSIWYG editors are not good, and I have developed methods of creating with code "what I want" rather than the other way. For a full flown text editor, I would recommend PSPad, which will provide you with just about anything you want in the way of creating HTML pages. http://www.brothersoft.com/download-pspad-editor-24977.html I don't use it all the time, as I prefer the more basic text editor of Araneae for everyday work. Araneae makes use of multiple colors in its text-editor status which helps immensely when tracing an HTML error. In fact, it is almost impossible to make a syntax mistake, as an unexpected change in the displayed text color will alert you. http://www.ornj.net/araneae/ I will often use PSPad when doing extensive editing of a file, as the search and replace function works extremely well in it, whereas I have found some limitations in Araneae. There are some inbuilt extras in PSPad which I find of use from time to time, e.g. a Lorem text generator, to name but one. Barry
