They are working on it, some of the bugs have already gone away. If you read the earlier posts, you will see you cannot yet replace your old Gedcom with the new one. Hi Butch, It looks like we have to do that, but I picked the same username, email, etc as before and when I finally got logged in, it all was linked together. They list the old worldconnect trees, along with a column saying whether the old tree has been ported to wcbeta yet. We cannot update yet. They are still fixing things. Try going to wcbeta.rootsweb.com to see if your tree has been transferred over yet. That is the temporary URL our trees are getting put at until they finish the transfer. But at this point, even if it is there, it will be in read-only status right now. However, it will give you a chance to see if things work okay in the Beta version, and report if you see problems. The big one I am running into is I took advantage of them previously considering people deceased 80 years after they were born. So known deceased people, I did not enter fake death dates or a DEAT tag, and living people over 80 years old, I simply had my computer privatize their names before uploading my updated gedcom. Now, the rule is 120 year old, so if you have deceased people born less than 120 years ago, you might want to work on making sure their names will display as you update your gedcom in preparation for upload. We all have to be patient - they are writing software from the ground up and that sort of thing always takes longer than expected to do it right. I've decided to hold off on creating a username and account for WorldConnect until there's more information on a central site for managing the various functions provided by Rootsweb.  I've all ready created a username and password for the Mailman lists.  Can I reuse that username?  Previously Rootsweb used https://myaccount.rootsweb.com for managing our various accounts. Currently I have       1) https://lists.rootsweb.com/user-profile/       2)https://lists.rootsweb.com/postorius/lists/ for the Mailman lists. I hope they are not going to do away with the above forever. If they do, then all the fantatic transcriptions people have posted at worldconnect in the old version will be gone forever.
