The site is http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~vstern/ Vanessa" Vanessa, I went to your main site, and then to:http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~vstern/search.htm Both your "Browse The Gallery" and "Search The Gallery" ["How to Search the Gallery"] links take me to your "Free Find" search engine.  I typed in: winter  I hit "Enter", which took me to the below:http://search.freefind.com/find.html?id=64017528&pid=r&mode=ALL&n=0&query=winter and everything came up just fine!  I clicked the first hit: http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~vstern/gallery28004.htm and it loaded immediately.   Someone better than I will have to help you further.  It has to be something on your computer's end.  Maybe clear your Cache and Cookies?  "Refresh"?  I honestly don't know.  Could your Firewall, Anti-Virus, or "Ad-Blocker" be a problem?   You probably have tried most everything.  Btw, yours is a super nice site!  A TON of hours spent building!  The good news is that others can search and easily find. Free Find is NOT gone from your site.   Something else must be stopping your computer from making the proper connections to the internet and your site, plus other sites.  You can't search or open any site links, right? You say you have Windows 7 and everything is Updated.  Maybe check here to "Fix Performance" problems with Win 7? http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-fix-windows-7-search-problems/ {If need be, you should be able to Upgrade to Win 8, [and then, 8.1., if wanted] rather seamlessly.  I'm not yet liking Win 10.  I LOVED my Win 7.]      Too, I wonder if your version of Chrome or Firefox somehow got corrupted?  How are you even communicating w/ us here?  Are you Mobile? If Mobile, might you have a "Sync" issue? I have a friend who uses AT&T, and she had a heck of a time with Syncing Firefox to her mobile phone.    Are you a Verizon user? In that Liz Nash wrote earlier today:: "This note was on the main page of the web site. Maybe this is the problem. Note: Some small percentage of users on Verizon fios are experiencing intermittent connection issues to our main site and search cluster. Our upstream provider is working with Verizon to resolve this issue. Liz Nash" If this persists, I'd probably call my IP; see if they can help.  Strange, awfully frustrating problem for you!  I so hope you can figure it out!   I'll dig around a bit more and get back if I find anything more...      Kabe aka Kathie Buchanan At 11:32 AM 1/6/2016, Kabe wrote: OnWednesday, January 6, 2016 9:00 AM, Vanessa Stern via<[email protected]> wrote: I have been using FreeFind for years on one of my sites.  About a week ago it stopped working, like the FreeFind site has completely disappeared.  I thought it was a temporary problem, but it continues.  This is very important.  Does anyone knowanything?  Do I need to find another search service?
