I'd love an answer to Jeff's question. A transcriber of mine will be in hospital for two months in the New Year. He wants to take his laptop in for his convalescent weeks, but said laptop has no Internet access. Can he download WinBMD and some scans to his home PC, then transfer them to the laptop, in ready-to-use form, via a CD-Rom or similar? Richard Oliver Madrid, Spain [email protected]
Richard, I did post a reply to Jeff's question to this list - drop me a line if you didn't receive it. In fact, I think I've also had an email from your transcriber asking the same question to which I have sent the same reply, unless we have more than 1 transcribing going into hospital and wanting to take a laptop. The zipfile that Ian mentions fills 4 floppies so a memory stick or CD would probably be better - especially as there would be room for scans as well. -- Philip Powell The Fellwanderers
