Hi Lisa, Obviously transcribing just Sheffield entries is not possible. Using excel or a text editor does slow down the transcribing process as none of the shortcuts within WinBMD are available, but if programs cannot be installed on a work PC, then there is obviously no other choice. FreeBMD cannot accept an excel file, but it is possible to convert the file to .txt, add the appropriate headers and then upload it. The two Peter's will undertake this conversion and uploading but they normally only do this for people who are not registered as transcribers. If you or the transciber are not happy with the conversion process I would be happy for Lisa to join my syndicate, and I could convert her files and email them back to her so that she could have a normal .BMD file to upload from home.
