Hi Ted Your transcriber is creating the header correctly, I checked transcript 1887b3_226. Therefore the problem must be in the upload. So the question is - is the transcriber using WinBMD auto upload, "Send File to FreeBMD"? I suggest he is not. cheers Bob Phillips ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ted Southcombe" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, June 01, 2004 10:23 AM Subject: FILE NAMES > I have a transcriber who always seems to be in a mess with his file names. > He first got the Files Names option in WinBMD set to SpeedBMD names and we > got that corrected thanks to advice from this list. > > Now however his transcribed files sent to me are correctly named - eg. > 1887B3H0226.BMD - but appear on the database as 1887B3_226, although the > file name in the file header is correct. > His latest upload appears as 1887_238 which is quite useless as a file > name with no event or quarter. > > How is this possible and what to do to correct it ? > > Cheers, Ted Southcombe > > > > ==== FREEBMD-SYNDICATES Mailing List ==== > For those in -L mode, to unsubscribe from this mailing list please send the command UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of the message to - > [email protected] > > ============================== > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
