Steve Dave has just beat me to responding in a like fashion. I did however respond a short while ago to Derek Lowe's email (which was along a similar line to yours) without first seeing Dave's comments. My response to Derek was not too far removed from Dave's comments below. Neither of my earlier emails devalued the superb work done by all our Co-ordinators and should not be construed to the contrary. Perhaps a reread of my two earlier emails on this topic of "+PAGE's for double page scans" will reinforce my point. As an aside, in your original email you did mention "Perhaps, following the current trend towards automation at FreeBMD, we could just get rid of the human element entirely". As far as I am concerned this couldn't be further from the truth, as I spend many hours a day in dialogue with volunteers or co-ordinators regarding incorrect files on the system. The vast majority of these error files I find by running Upload Reports to which all Co-ordinators have access to.
