I have double page scans in my syndicate's allocation. I advise my transcribers in their start-up notes to do them as one file exactly as Alan's proposals. However interestingly several seem to prefer to split them into 2 files which I have accepted quite happily. Actually, checking and verifying 2 page files can get quite daunting especially if a transcriber doesn't follow the 'rules' and goes his own way. I ask them to send their first file to me after doing one or two columns as their training exercise. I do check most uploads that the middle +PAGE line is there, especially after I forgot it once !
