Hi Ian For those Co-ordinators who find it difficult and time consuming to check the list I would suggest they hang fire for a while whilst I get the figures down to more manageable numbers. I'm in the fortunate position of being able to pick up with a fair degree of certainty which files are transcribed by which Syndicate purely by the way the files are named. I can already tell that one Syndicate Co-ordinator must be actively involved in correcting large numbers of files in the Suspect Report, this has already made a big dent in the number of files showing on the Suspect Report. If one of our IT experts can add the Syndicate name then I would be an happy bunny although as you can gather my need of it is far less than that required by Co-ordinators. My response to the query about adding Syndicate names also included details about using Upload Report to its full extent. It's a tremendous facility which Co-ordinators were crying out for quite a while ago and with a lot of sweat by Barrie/Dave they produced the new format Upload Report. Upload Report can readily identify files which have been uploaded to the incorrect year/quarter and event and generally these are the ones that figure in the Suspect Report. I've already started to take action in sorting out some of the suspect files and there are about a further 650 files still to be sorted out. The co-operation of Co-ordinators in checking the Suspect Report on a regular weekly basis to identify and assist any of their volunteers with suspect files would be appreciated. I find I'm spending a lot of time dealing with volunteers who have suspect files which is an area perhaps better dealt with by the intervention of Co-ordinators. There may be a surprise for some Co-ordinators if they visited Suspect Report! I monitor the number of suspect files on a daily basis and my aim is to get the list down to zero figures by the end of December 2004.
