With CD burners, you can now easily copy from Outlook (or Outlook Express) direct to your CD drive, using Windows Explorer. Just drag and drop the envelopes (in groups etc) onto the CD drive as you would using two explorer windows, except that in this case one of the "windows" is Outlook. You do lose the formatting that you see in Outlook, at least you have a CD backup of the individual emails. I would then copy them back in to Outlook in the event of a Crash or Upgrade. Now I had better go and do it myself, for my backups.
