Hi Jeff The best course of action regarding any problems regarding volunteers registration should be an email to the Volunteer Co-ord at: [email protected] . If either Virginia or me are not available it allows other team members to intercede if of an urgent nature. A brief detail of the problem together with the SubmitterID and name of the Volunteer will enable the problem to resolved very quickly. Some of your suggestions are quite valid and will assist some volunteers completing their registration. However, never request a volunteer to re-register with a different SubmitterID. This only serves to generate another unwanted SubmitterID on the system which has to be deleted at some stage. The transcriber should go to http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/bmd-files.pl and enter their submitter-id, then follow the 'Forgotten your password' route. The transcriber will get a new 'challenge' email. Reasons for not getting the 'challenge' email include misspelling the email address, and possibly spam-trapping by ISPs. If the email address was mis-spelled, the 'challenge' email will not reach them. You can check this by comparing the email address used in contacting you with that on Syndicate Maintenance, letter by letter if necessary. If the email address was mis-spelled the transcriber either needs to adopt the misspelled address, even if only to get the automatic challenge email, or, I suspect, re-register with a different submitter-id. I am open to correction on this. Otherwise contact Allan or Virginia from links on http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/ctroles.html Jeff
