I recently took an a transcriber using security software called 'Bullguard' which she says is 'really very good'. Apparently downloading WinBMD produces a warning from this software that the computer is 'under attack'. Has anyone else come across this? Jeff
Jeff, Could you check whether it is downloading WinBMD that causes the report or uploading files using WinBMD. It was downloading and/or trying to install WinBMD. She never even got as far as starting to transcribe. It happened twice, as she made two attempts on different days, as I understand it. I don't think we need worry about it unduly. It is possible that some other setting on the computer was not right, like User account or administrator status or what cookies were accepted, and the 'security' software converted a standard windows vista response into something that appeared to show that it was doing a useful job.... The transcriber concerned has decided not to continue, anyway.
