Just treat this as 46 corrections according to Transcribers Knowledge Base item 6d and transcribe twice, once with the surname Wyard and once with the surname Wyatt, the latter with the comment as suggested below. The surname "Wyard" has been 'ditto-ed' 46 times, but then the first ditto has been crossed out and the surname "Wyatt" has been written in by hand. There are also small hand-written ditto marks under the hand-written 'Wyatt' name. I feel there is no doubt that the 46 entries should by Wyatt and not Wyard. > > I have placed a comment thus: COMMENT(46) "DITTO" MARK FOR SURNAME IS CROSSED OUT AND REPLACED BY "WYATT" > > This is factually correct but perhaps not helpful for potential users and I think it would probably be better to simply type WYATT for the surname. > > Any suggestions please? > > What about changing my comment to.
