One of the problems for new transcribers (we've found) is that they are often new to computers, programs, email clients & the internet too - they'd have no idea what SMTP even means So when they install a new program, they just allow it to do its own thing & never tell it (the program) where to install - just the default Then with Vista in particular, they can't find it! When a newbie joins now, I ask them if they're using Vista & try to give them specific instructions on where to find their files - this has saved me hours in the long run So Nowl's suggestion is spot on - I'd like to see a Folder created especially for WinBMD output (automatically) as a sub-folder off My Documents and the user being told that this is what's happening - most users can find My Documents ok At present, if they've changed the Define Path & can't remember where it is, I can end up with half a dozen emails per new Trannie going back & forth! Not everyone would use C:\WinBMD or C:\Program Files\WinBMD - I certainly don't Hooroo Teri

WinBMD may be able to copy config from the mail program. -- Dave Mayall
