    3. Barrie Just one minor query. My first column is labelled "Synd Memb?" rather than "In Synd?" Am I looking at the same report as you? Allan Raymond ----- Original Message ----- From: Barrie To: freebmd-syndicates@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, September 23, 2010 3:18 PM Subject: Upload report I have enhanced Upload Report so that when data is downloaded for a specific syndicate(s), where the the first column (labelled "In Synd?") indicates that the file is within the syndicate, it now indicates the number of syndicates (previously it was 1 if the file was allocated to the specified syndicate(s), 0 otherwise). So for the value in the first column ... - means that a syndicate has not been specified 0 means the file is not in the the syndicate(s) specified (only relevant if "All Users" has been selected) n means that the file is in "n" syndicates. If showing results for one syndicate, having n>1 is a potential problem because it means that the system has been unable to determine which syndicate the file was transcribed for. Use Show File <http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/show-file.pl> to determine the syndicates involved. This occurs where a transcriber is a member of more than one syndicate and both of them are transcribing the same quarter. The simplest way to resolved this is by putting the syndicate in the header of the file and uploading it again (see http://www.freebmd.org.uk/Format.shtml#comments). Alternatively we can force a file to be allocated to a specific syndicate if you let us know. I am always reluctant to amend the download format because coordinators may have macros that depend on the format. I hope that this change will not cause anyone any problems. 3. Barrie, When I view an upload report I don't get anything like you describe. What is the address to use to get the upload report you refer to? 3. Brian The address is: http://www2.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/upload-report.pl In the absolute vast number of Upload Reports I regularly run I only see Synd Memb? column showing as 0 or 1, I'm guessing this is what you are seeing in your Upload Report? Seeing either 0 or 1 should be considered entirely normal. I have only encountered one Upload Report to date (which was run for a Syndicate under my control) in which a 2 is showing in the Synd Memb? column. Unless Barrie advises to the contrary this problem has occurred because a particular volunteer belongs to my syndicate plus one other syndicate and both syndicates were involved in double keying the same event/quarter. There is no indication in the files uploaded by this volunteer as to which Syndicate the volunteer belongs. However having just checked the files more closely the volunteer only ever transcribed for the Syndicate under my control so me asking the Coordinator of the other Syndicate to remove the volunteer from his Syndicate should (fingers crossed) show 1 against the volunteer next time I run Upload Report. 3. Brian you get none of this if you click on Show. It's only if you download the report that you get the Syndicate Member column.
