    3. Hi Debz If you can see a discernable character between the lines (usually it will be a TAB character) then you can split it up with WORD or WORDPAD. Open the file in one of those programmes. Select the Edit/Replace function (usually Ctrl-H). In the Find box enter "^t" without the double quotes if the separator is a tab, in the Replace box enter "^p" without the double quotes and press the "Replace All" button. For those wishing to know more ^t is the tab character and ^p is the paragraph character. If there is no obvious separator then it may be more difficult (for example if there is a comma between each line). In the latter case send a copy of the file to clive.essery@nats.co.uk and I will try to write a macro to separate the file up for you - no guarantees that I will succeed though. Why does this happen and what changes do I need to get the transcriber to make for the file to arrive normally I was able to fiddle around and make it into an opening file.
