    3. The most likely reason is that newline characters got changed to UNIX convention in transmission. To test this try opening the file in WordPad (Programs/Accessories/WordPad) which is more tolerant of different End Of Line conventions than Notepad. How did the transcriber send the file to you? Try using a different method or, in extremis, try zipping the file (if the transcriber can do that).
