People with access to the books would be ideal as adjudicators! BUT maintaining accountability for who transcribed what means that it is preferable (in the *formal* checking phase) to separate the corrections from the original transcriptions. That way we get maximum accuracy, whilst retaining maximum information about how we arrived at that reading. -- Dave Mayall
