    3. Hi Freebies, I agree with the sentiments expressed so far and I dare say the Exec would also appreciate some sincere thanks for their efforts now and again instead of a steady diet of niggles. Let's not forget that EVERYONE is a volunteer on this project, some seem to treat the Exec as if they are paid professionals who need putting in their place. I know it does me the world of good on the rare occasions I get a compliment or a thank you about SpeedBMD, instead of a plea for help, which I always try to respond to fully, often at great cost to my personal time. How about this for a "kinship" item. I'VE JUST BECOME A GRANDAD:o) My first grandchild (a girl) was born on Sunday. Can I send in a Births entry? Kind regards to everyone Peter Cox

    3. Good day. To Peter and his own family: As part of my extended family, kith and kin (albeit of the ethereal kind) Congratulations!!!!! Flags and bunting optional. A newsletter for those of us still not really computer nerds - in the nicest and most complimentary sense - and not entirely happy to walk around the FreeBMD site knowing exactly what is there would certainly be read by me. Who are these other groups? Are there any pertinent recruiting stories? Where are the members of the syndicates based? What do they do in their (ha ha) spare time to earn their daily crust? Are there geographically close groups who socialise in reality as well as in cyberspace? Have any volunteers had the time to find many of their own ancestors yet? Has anyone had a blinding moment when they were actually transcribing and found they were working on the name that represented their own particular brickwall? Just a few ideas of what I would find particularly interesting apart from the figures. Best wishes Anne Cruise [email protected] Peter Cox wrote: > How about this for a "kinship" item.
