Is it year dependent in WinBMD? I've never know it to work with marriages but it does with births where the mother's name capitalises automatically if All Caps is checked. The work-around I use for marriages is to transcribe them as births, then edit the header to marriages when finished. If you forget to change the header and use BMD Verify, it should warn you when you load the transcription for checking. -----Original Message----- From: freebmd-admins-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:freebmd-admins-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Phil Sent: 14 April 2012 19:31 To: Carol Haycock; freebmd-admins@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Spouse upper case problem This feature is year-dependent. Thanks, Bill, and Phil as well. I have just done the transcription with my CAPS LOCK on and it is a pain with first names that I've typed for years with just a letter or two which fills in the rest. Found myself swearing out loud when I heard the ding. So I will try my next marriage by making he change to births as you suggest. Appreciate the help. Sorry I got the last sentence the wrong way round in my previous message - Carol has just changed from 1954 Births to 1954 Marriages. Phil
