We are transcribing 1862 Deaths, June Quarter, and one of my team has pointed out that scanned pages 45, 46, 47 and 48 have areas where only the odd item can be made out, and areas where nothing is readable at all, even to the point where the number of lines is uncertain. How should I advise this transcriber? Extensive use of the * symbol, or a #THEORY entry to cover the lot? Beginner's Help and Knowledge Base FAQs don't really cover this extreme case.
