    1. RE: Problems with NTL

    3. I use Ntl and have done for many years. Previously I had used AOL, which was good on the surface but awful underneath. I can't say that I've had many problems with Ntl, just occasional ones with the odd PoP3 account not delivering at times, but the emails, Junk and otherwise still come through. Ntl does have a spam filter which can be turned on and off, I keep it turned off and filter from Outlook by using Junk filter to weed out the chaff, but they still get through. I like it that way as I get full control of what comes in and what goes out. So far I must have 40 odd messages that have come through so far, all about Ntl and problems with it. If I don't receive an email, then I don't know that I've missed it. For all I know these 40 odd emails may only be a small percentage of what is being posted. I would not know. But Ntl works fine for me. I still receive emails from friends and other webs that I have responded to and have never had a reported bounced email yet. But then how would I know if they keep bouncing. Keep posting they all make interesting reading. Happy New Year to all Kindest regards Allan -----Original Message----- From: Louise & Tim Atherton [mailto:athertonlt@optusnet.com.au] Sent: Sunday, January 01, 2006 10:28 PM To: FreeBMD-Admins-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Problems with NTL Just to add to John's comment, Outlook Express has a provision for blocking a sender in Messages Toolbar, which you have control over. I know that Optus don't delete emails unless you've put them into the Block Sender list. Otherwise, the anti virus blocks any worms or other virus attached email.
