    3. I have recently downloaded 1846 and 1850 marriages such as 1846M3-R-0110.jpg . The description in Windows says these are JPEG files which I have never had any trouble with. However now Ifran View, Kodak Imaging and Adobe do not recognize the headings. Previously I have worked with .tif files. and successfully opened other .jpg files without the -R-. I have not transcribed for a while, but when I downloaded the above-mentioned file in September, the first part was the same with the -R-; however, the ending was .jpeg. This file opened and was my recent transcription. Can someone solve this problem for me. Many thanks, Carol Haycock (609) Yes, me again

    3. If you open these files using the 'Scanned Batches' 'Show Scan Image' route in WinBMD you need to ensure that you select 'all files'. That way you should see whether they are proper jpg files or whether for some unknown reason they are unusable, in which case I should try downloading one of them afresh.
