    3. Dave following taken from Transcribers knowledge base - hope it helps. (g) In transcribing pages there is sometimes a hand-written entry at the foot of the page with a corresponding mark higher in the column. The question is do you a) insert the entry where it is shown that it should be b) insert the entry at the bottom of the column c) insert the entry at the end of the page If the appropriate point for insertion is shown by “x” dagger asterisk etc. then transcribe the extra record as if it was actually at that point (option a). If no insertion point is shown, then insert at the bottom of the page or column as shown on the manuscript. Dorothy Dave Leek <dave.leek@ntlworld.com> wrote: I am transcribing a page where a name is out of sequence. Within a surname, the first names go - Thomas, Rebecca, William. There is a faint 'x' in the margin next to the wrongly positioned 'Rebecca' entry, and another faint 'x' near an entry above it (not quite at the correct insertion point!). Should I transcribe the entry in the correct place? I think someone asked a similar question in December, but for some reason I did not see the answer.
