I just wanted to find out about a district. I am working on June marriages 1862 and have again come across a place called Wellington, distrtict 6A, but it is not in the pick list. It has an initial or two after it but I can't make it out clearly . from TC

Wellington in Shropshire is often found abbreviated as Wellington Sh.,6a but also as Wellington Sal.,6a as Salop is/was an alternative name for Shropshire. However the overall rule is Type What You See.
