Sondra There's nothing wrong with our mailing system. You may have misunderstood the signing up process: 1. Joining FreeBMD and hence registering for a SubmitterID and 2. Subscribing to our mailing lists. These are entirely separate actions. You have joined and obtained your SubmitterID. You must also have subscribed to our FreeBMD Admins mailing list and hence the reason why you are receiving emails from "the system". This mailing list is intended for our volunteers who wish to ask questions about transcribing activities, therefore all subscribers to the list receive copies of all emails to the list. If you wish to unsubscribe from the FreeBMD Admins mailing list please follow the process in http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/lists.html .
