Not that I really mind, but I am being bombarded(well, at least six so far) with enquiries from people searching Free BMD records and finding my E.mail address under the "info" box and thinking that I may be personally interested in their family histories. It must be very disappointing to them when I advise them of my simple transcriber role. I have completed over 270000 entries so far, so how many more enquiries can I expect I wonder. I think a clearer explanation should be given for the "info" info' to prevent fruitltess approaches. John Renner -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. I wasn't aware your email address was visible for researchers to contact you. Transcribers have the option of withholding their personal details by going to their File Management at: http://www2.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/bmd-files.pl and selecting the various Privacy options. We can change the wording on our pages but whether individuals read it is another matter.
