    1. What to transcribe?

    3. I have 2 queries which I hope someone can help me with. 1. Currently tanscribing 1849 March marriages and have an entry on 1849M1-B-0066 reading 'Barnfather Nicholas Houghton le Sp? XXIV 153'. If I transcribe the question mark, will WinBMD recognise this as an original entry or something that I have included? 2. On 1849M1-B-0068 I have several districts, Winchester, St. Giles and Durham (page 69) all followed by a mark which may be an early version of '&c', but looks nothing like it. I can't even describe what it looks like. Could someone maybe check it out and advise what I should transcribe? Regards Gordon

That one looks like a lower-case 'g' written as a superscript to me, probably to signify the last letter of the District name (Houghton le Spring). > 2.
