Hi to all List Members As I have recently joined the list, a few words to explain who I am and where I've come from. I guess it's a common route. I decided to explore my family tree. Having never done anything like this in the past, it was a bit of a learning curve. trying to decide what information I wanted and where to get it from. One of the sites I looked at was FreeBMD, and thought what a brilliant idea it was. I was staggered by the foresight of the original developer, and also that they were not put off by the scale of the undertaking. Having used the site on a few occasions, I noticed that transcribers were always needed. So wanting to help in the only way I could, I joined 'Christines Crew' and am now going through another learning curve, learning how to enter data from a scanned record. I am based in the UK, living in a small village in Wales. I am looking forward to reading, and contributing, to the postings on this list. Best wishes, John :-)
