Hi A plea for some help. I have a small number of experienced transcribers helping with the task of completing outstanding transcriptions of certain parts of the Index. This situation has arisen due the fact we have lost contact with the Co-ordinators of the Syndicates allocated these parts of the Index. The small band of transcribers mentioned above are occupied at the present time in completing 1840 March Marriages. There's a finite time I can spend on on this acticity due to other FreeBMD work. I'm therefore looking for one or possibly two experienced volunteers from other Syndicates who can work unaided transcribing the outstanding 19 pages of the Index for 1882 March Marriages. It's only recently that wev'e had access to scans to enable this work to be completed. The scans are typed and are of excellent quality. Please contact me if you wish to help, I can provide details of the scans for potential volunters to view before making the final committment to help? Thanks Allan Raymond FreeBMD Co-ordinator of Syndicates
Hi Colleagues I have been totally overwhelmed by the number of volunteers offering to help complete the outstanding 19 pages and I have no requirement for any more offers of help at least for the time being. It will be a little while before I can get back to everyone who offered their services. Thanks again, my plea has been met many times over.
