Hi Barry, An such accepted change SHOULD result in any other similar surnames also being changed, though this is not guarenteed. When the message is sent to the original transcriber of the entry, a note will be attached to the effect that surrounding entries are likely to also be affected. The system I have in place for checking that corrections have actually been made, is however limited to checking only the specified entry, so it is possible that the transcriber only corrects the single entry. I do try and check such flagged entries manually to limit the above possibility, but being a manual process I can't be sure that I catch all instances. Kevin S.
