One of my experienced transcribers sent the following question to me, which appears to be of general concern on the message boards at present. I have not seen any answers to it though: "I have just completed the first file of my 1933 2Q marriage assignment. When using BMDVerify after transcription, and having made a correction, every single time the file was reloaded BMDVerify brought up the message: "Is this a Death index or... ...a Birth index with mother's surname or... ...a Marriage index with wife's surname YES NO As I had about 20 corrections to make, due mostly to supposed 5s in transcription turning out to be 3s in verification, this became extremely annoying. I had already told WinBMD it was one of these when I set up the page header, and at the start of verification. Why does BMDVerify need to know each time a correction is reloaded? And is there any way to turn it off? I never had this message when doing 1924 marriages - what is so different about 1933 marriages that this message keeps appearing, and the columns don't line up during verification, which make it confusing and more difficult to see mistakes? I am using BMDVerify version 3.0.3/311006." Please can someone advise whether a new version of BMDVerify is being made, or if there is a solution to these problems?
