    3. Bob It's a known problem and I have a new version ready that will fix it but there's been a hitch getting it released. I hope to have it ready in the next two weeks. Apologies for the delay. 3. Hello David, Thanks for all the work you've put in on BMDVerify - I think it's a wonderful program !! I'm writing because I've just got one tiny suggestion that you may like to incorporate in a new version. My suggestion is that on the the first screen you see when you start BMDVerify you reverse the order of the top two questions - i.e. I'm suggesting that the user is first asked to "Step 1 - specify your transcription file", and is then asked "Step 2 - specify the scanned image file". The reasoning behind this is that we transcribers are given a batch of files to transcribe - in my case currently five. I download my five images into my WinBMD working folder (I've previously moved the last set of images and transcription files into a "Done" folder). Then I transcribe the first image and when I've finished transcribing it I run BMDVerify. I'm first asked to specify the image file and presented with a directory with five images in. It's easy enough to remember which one I want when it's the first one - but further into the batch I often forget where I've got to and select the wrong image file. If I could select the transcription file first then I would always get the right one - it will always be the highest numbered one. I hope that makes sense and is helpful - please don't hesitate to ask if I haven't explained clearly. I'm sure there are lots of hidden consequences to this suggestion that I haven't thought of - life always seems to be like that !
